What's Old is New Again

Our home is getting to the point that I can actually unpack some items. We were married over three years ago, but yesterday I got to open some wedding gifts for the first time. It was pretty exciting. I'm sure a lot of you are in this same situation. Where you having beautiful gifts that were given to you, but no where to store or display them?

I need some lessons in the art of display. For the time being, our new little display case will have to tolerate my constant shuffling. I think it is important to mix things that are new with things that are old. Also mixing things that are pretty, with things that might just be pretty to you. I love that Vera Wang china shares a shelf with milk glass of my Grandmother's from the 1940's.

With the use of my "new" kitchen gadgets, I whipped up a batch of the Cake Shop's Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookies (you can find this recipes and many more yummy ones in the Junior League of Tallahassee's A Thyme to Celebrate cookbook) to share with our sweet new neighbors.

The bruiser helped around the house today too. He reorganized my Tupperware cabinet, and did a little sweeping.
