Shelves made new

We are grateful to have more storage space now, but our closets were filled with the plastic/rubber/whatever covered metal shelves that were a bit dusty, sticky, dirty, etc. Here is a quick way to give your closets' shelves something to smile about.

Clean the shelves with a soap and water mixture using a brush and elbow grease. Then spray with a degreaser like Kaboom.

Look at that dirty water!

Let the shelves sit for five to ten minutes. Scrub again. Then spray clean with a hose. Tada...you have some so fresh so clean shelves!

The Mystery House

Many of our family and friends have inquired about this mystery house that Jarrod and I purchased at the beginning of the summer. I use mystery house very literally, due to the same scares and thrills that you would receive from one at the Leon County Fair. The "new" house is a good one, but it needs lots of love to bring this 1990 beauty to the present year of 2011.

I will post a few before pictures here, and fill you in as we go. Jarrod...all I can say is, "bless his heart!" He has been working non-stop to get this mystery house to not be so scary for his medium maintenance (I refuse to be known as high maintenance) wife, and our little Mack.

Don't be confused, these pictures were taken in 2011. You might think you were wearing Eastlands and Duckheads at the time that these photos were taken by the looks of the decor.
